GRADE II* RESTORATION AND REFURBISHMENT, WEETWOOD, LEEDS

Client: Round Strategies Ltd
Value:  £XX
Contractor: Evora Construction

Built between the years 1875-1877, Spenfield House is one of Northern England’s finest examples of Victorian grandeur. The building has passed through various different tenures throughout its history, and has been under the ownership of private, civic and corporate entities alike. Not surprisingly, the internal spaces of the building had been heavily modified and suffered from inappropriate alterations due to it’s period as a hotel HQ, health spa and training facility.

Pearce Bottomley Architects were called upon to deliver a scheme which would restore Spenfield House back to it’s former glory; providing seven luxury apartments within the fabric of the main house and also seven contemporary townhouses within the grounds of the property, the latter of which were to be completed within the first quarter of 2020.

The sensitive restoration of many of the original period features, and the incorporation of modern contemporary living spaces has ensured this exemplar piece of Victorian heritage will once again become one of Leeds’ premier residences.
